This is the latest report I have on my grandfather, Nathan Goldfoot. He had been found at the port in Londonderry, Ireland heading for Quebec at age 22 by Mike Posnick who informed me. Here he has been found on the same ship, Parisian, now heading for Quebec on June 14, 1893, but departing at Winnipeg. That is closer to Council, Idaho, USA where he was found marrying Hattie Jermulowske, my grandmother in 1905. The next year they went to Portland, Oregon. I have written to the Winnipeg Jewish Genealogical Society asking for possible information. Perhaps they have books that are not posted on ancestry. Nathan has
not been found crossing over from Canada to USA as yet. I'm wondering what he did from 1893 in Winnipeg till 1905, some 12 years unaccounted for. My grandmother had mentioned that he had been married before but hadn't had any children. That seems to be the reason for his divorce. That must have taken place in Canada.
